Iranian feature film ‘A Hairy Tale’ is set to compete at the Split International Festival of New Film in Croatia.

Directed by Homayoun Ghanizadeh, ‘A Hairy Tale’ will be screened at the event (aka Split Film Festival), which is one of the oldest film and video festivals in Croatia, next month.

The Fantasy/Crime film is about three barbers with different tastes.

“Danesh is in love with cinema and Homa, a well-known actress. Khan is mad about the movie “Casablanca” and his barber shop’s certificate. Shapoor will give anything for tinned tuna and politics,” according to a synopsis for the film.

Soon after a series of murders, the atmosphere in their city becomes oppressive.

The film’s cast includes many prominent stars, including Ali Nasiriyan, Saber Abar, Babak Hamidiyan, Reza Kianian, and Hediyeh Tehrani.

‘A Hairy Tale’ received the Special Jury Award at the 35th Warsaw International Film Festival in Poland.

The upcoming edition of Split Film Festival will take place on September 10-17.
